There’s a tiny family-run taverna just a short walk from Borsh beach, kind of hidden behind a row of olive trees. No signs, just locals. I always stop there when showing property in the area. It’s the perfect place to let clients soak in the vibe of the Riviera over a plate of grilled fish and homemade raki. If you’re lucky, the owner might sing. Not kidding.

Even culturally, we Albanians love our cars. There’s a reason why you’ll see a spotless black Mercedes from 1995 parked proudly in front of every house in the village. Having a secure place for your vehicle is just part of the lifestyle. 

So when a property includes dedicated parking, it’s not just ticking a box. It’s fitting into that local rhythm. It’s giving you peace of mind and respecting the way we live here.

Now, I know what you might be thinking—doesn’t this make beachfront property or seaview apartments even more expensive? 

Sometimes, yes. But not always. 

Saranda still offers some of the best value on the entire Mediterranean coast. I truly believe that. You can find affordable properties with views, modern finishes, and yes, even parking. You just have to know where to look—or know someone local who does.

I’ll end this with one last little side story. A couple from Germany recently bought an apartment through us. Lovely people. Retired, big fans of the Riviera. When I handed over the keys, the wife said, “We almost didn’t come to the viewing because we assumed parking would be a problem.” 

They now have a beautiful seaview, a short walk to the promenade, and—yep—a secure parking spot. They send me pictures of their sunset wine every week. 

So yeah. Parking might not be glamorous. But in places like Saranda and Ksamil, it’s become a bit of a luxury. And honestly? One that’s absolutely worth looking for.
